John Teske premieres new works for double bass along with local musicians Maria Scherer Wilson, Beth Fleenor, and Bryan Kolk. this body of work is the first of a new-found style and authenticity, favoring intuition over precise complexity. ranging from meditative to raucous, these pieces are based on personal evolution, etherial atmospheres, and playful rhythms and structures.
each composition was commissioned through the "haulin' bass" bike trailer project of 2010, all of which are currently being recorded.
